POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounting Team at Milliman Global Corporate Services (GCS) is looking to hire a Tax Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the tax compliance process including preparing schedules and returns for all U.S. federal and state income tax returns. The person in this role will also assist with foreign tax return review and liaison with foreign tax advisors and tax preparers. This person will take a major role in the preparation of US compliance with international information reports (and CountrybyCountry OR CbC reporting). This person will also be a liaison with local India tax consultants or auditors. This person will assist with special projects on an as needed basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tax Research:
- Research US tax laws and regulations
- Research foreign tax and VAT laws and regulations
Tax Returns:
- Prepare various federal and state franchise and income tax returns
- Prepare yearly foreign reporting forms for US requirements (CbC reports)
- Prepare foreign bank reporting forms for US compliance
- Assist in review of foreign income tax returns with foreign tax advisors
- Assist with yearend 1099 and 1042 processing
Audit Assistance:
- Provide technical support of jurisdictional examinations (income tax VAT etc.)
Communication:
- Respond to notices from tax authorities
- Provide support to offices with their tax related requests
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
- The ideal candidate have minimum 2 years of experience working as a Tax accountant.
- The ideal candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft 365 suite must have Intermediate Excel skills.
- The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have strong collaboration with ability to work independently.
LOCATION:
This is a remote role. This job posting is expected to close on June 30th 2025
COMPENSATION:
The overall salary range for this role is $49900 $92770.
For candidates residing in:
- Alaska California Connecticut Illinois Maryland Massachusetts New Jersey Pennsylvania Virginia Washington or the District of Columbia the salary range is $54890 $85030.
- New York City Newark San Jose or San Francisco the salary range is $59880 $92760.
- All other locations the salary range is $49900 $77300.
A combination of factors will be considered including but not limited to education relevant work experience qualifications skills certifications etc
