Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Johor based Cost Accountant to join our client in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sector. This role plays a critical part in overseeing financial reporting cost analysis and inventory control within a fast-paced high-precision manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals a proactive mindset and a solid understanding of costing in a production-driven setting.
Responsibilities:

Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities including detailed cost analysis and explanation of variances.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports (monthly quarterly annually) in accordance with accounting standards.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to uphold accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Monitor daily cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for ongoing business operations.

Facilitate both internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and ensuring adherence to financial policies and statutory requirements.

Contribute to inventory management including annual stock counts and reconciliation ensuring reliable inventory reporting.

Provide supervision training and support to junior accounting team members to drive performance and collaboration.

Handle other financial or administrative tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:

Degree in Accounting or a related discipline from a recognized institution.

At least 5 years of practical accounting experience preferably within a manufacturing or EMS environment.

Solid understanding of financial reporting cost accounting and inventory controls.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization.

Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide junior staff.

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.

Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools.
