Job Description
Saint Ignatius College Riverview was established in 1880 as a Catholic school for boys in the Jesuit tradition. Located within Cammeraigal Country on Sydneys lower north shore Riverview is a leading independent school which delivers a holistic education to both day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.

The College is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Music Tutor French Horn and Trumpet to provide private tutorials for students in year 5 and 6 with the possibility of this extending to Year 7 12. This is a casual position starting in Term 3 2025.
This position also includes teaching trumpet forour Regis Music Activities Program (Yr 5 and 6 instrument tuition groups). There is also an opportunity in the future to be considered for roles in CoCurricular Music Ensembles. Experience with other Brass instruments could be an advantage.
The successful candidate will:
- hold the appropriate qualifications and be an experienced tutor of the French Horn and Trumpet
- demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
- demonstrate collaborative practices and a commitment to working as part of a team
- demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- demonstrate excellent organisational skills and high levels of attention to details
- demonstrate an ability to successfully develop and direct rehearsals and performances
- demonstrate the ability to take initiative and follow processes and procedures
- hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety welfare and wellbeing of children and young people
