What youll do:
- Support development and expansion of Cytivas proprietary Vector and RNA manufacturing platform for RNAbased vaccines and other applications.
- Assist in the process development scaleup and validation of RNA synthesis in Cytivas proprietary cellfree systems and perform appropriate assays for DNA and mRNA characterization including functional activity assays.
- Lead and support small independent projects on RNA manufacturing process development activities including both upstream and downstream processes.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) reports and technical presentations.
- Assist in the daytoday management of the lab and perform other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelors or Masters program studying Biochemistry Molecular Biology Biotechnology & Biochemical Engineering
- Must have strong analytical and troubleshooting capability.
- Must be a motivated proactive detailoriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be a team player who thrives in a dynamic fastpaced environment with multiple tasks.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Previous work experience in a related laboratory environment
- Experience with techniques such as bioanalytical assays nucleic acid and protein purification enzyme kinetics and gel electrophoresis is an asset.
- Hands on experience with maintaining cell cultures and standard tissue culture techniques is an asset.
The salary range for this role is $CAD / year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
