About the Role
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiasticfulltime Optical Assistantto join our small friendly team. This is a handson role suited to someone who enjoys working with people and is confident in both technical and customerfacing tasks. Experience in
optics is desirable but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
As part of a small independent team you will be involved in all aspects of practice life. These are among some of the jobs that will be expected to be carried out:
- Welcoming patients and providing exceptional frontofhouse service
- Dispensing glasses accurately and confidently
- Adjusting and fitting frames to ensure comfort and proper alignment
- Performing and managingall frame repairs including minor and more advanced fixes
- Managingcollectionsand providing aftercare support for patients
- Handling and advising oncontact lenses including orders deliveries and queries
- Conducting prescreening tests (full training provided if necessary)
- Managing patient records and appointment diaryusing ourpractice management system (PMS)
- Handling telephone and email enquiries in a professional and efficient manner
- Ensuring the practice is clean wellpresented and welcoming
