We are searching for a highly motivated computational scientist with a strong background in methods development for image analytics to join the Data & Computational Science (DCS) team at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. You will play a formative role in building the image analytics capabilities within DCS supporting analysis of high content multiplexed and/or materials imaging studies. An ideal candidate should have experience in applying statistical and machine learning methods towards building image analysis pipelines and strong knowledge of software development best practices. You will play a key role in innovating evaluating and applying cuttingedge computational methods that will enable us to make rapid datadriven decisions. As a key contributor you will be expected to work closely with DCS colleagues and research scientists and Vertexs Data Technology and Engineering (DTE) group to help in the development of scalable production solutions. Thus the ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in image analysis but also a broad skillset to address data science problems. Proactive communication and seamless crossfunctional collaboration will be required for success in this role.
This is a Boston MA based hybrid/onsite position requiring 3 days/week onsite.

Pay Range:
$101200 $151700Disclosure Statement:
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors including skills competencies experience and other jobrelated factors permitted by law.
