Job Summary: The Kids Club Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversight and delivery of engaging safe and enriching activities for children at Tahoe Mountain Club. Reporting to the Member Services and Recreation Manager this role ensures a welcoming environment supports childrens development and maintains high standards of safety and cleanliness while providing handson leadership to Kids Club staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Delivery and Supervision
    • Lead and supervise daily recreational and educational activities for children ensuring programming aligns with the Clubs mission and values.
    • Foster a positive inclusive and nurturing environment that promotes childrens social emotional and cognitive growth.
    • Communicate effectively with children parents and staff maintaining open and positive relationships.
  • Staff Leadership
    • Supervise train and support Kids Club staff in daily operations and child engagement.
    • Assist with scheduling and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
    • Model positive interactions and encourage staff to relate to children in a supportive manner.
  • Safety and Facility Management
    • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants by following and enforcing health safety and emergency procedures.
    • Maintain a clean organized and hazardfree environment in all Kids Club areas.
    • Promote and uphold standards of cleanliness and sanitation among staff and participants.
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist with participant checkin/out attendance tracking and communication with parents regarding daily activities and incidents.
    • Support the Member Services and Recreation Manager with inventory supply management and basic recordkeeping as needed.
  • Community Engagement
    • Represent the Kids Club positively within the Club community and build relationships with families1.
    • Support special events and collaborate with other departments as directed
  • Other duties as needed

Because of the fluctuating demands of the Clubs operation it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore as an essential part of your job you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly you may be expected to perform other tasks not specifically addressed above.

Reports to: Member Services and Recreation Manager General Manager.

Supervises: Kids Club Attendants

Qualifications

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Coursework or experience in child development education or recreation is preferred. Prior experience working with children in a group setting.

Language/Communication: Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain open communication with managers and fellow coworker. Must display professional demeanor and communicate in professional language at all times. Must have excellent crossfunctional teamwork skills with an ability to identify areas of efficiency and embody an instatiable drive for excellence in execution. This requires someone who is very detailoriented and creative. Availability and desire to work a variety of social events that typically fall on nights weekends and some holidays is a must for this position.

Certificates/Licenses: Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire. Bloodborne Pathogen safety training Harassment Prevention Training and other state and company mandated trainings. Criminal background check is required.
