Job Description

Rupert A. Nock Middle School is a grade 68 middle school with over 550 students. We are looking for dynamic positive person who enjoys working with middle school students who is comfortable in a fastpaced school environment and who is interested in collaborating with a team of teachers. The ELA teacher will provide instruction to middle school students and must be comfortable differentiating curriculum teaching effective work habits and creating studentcentered curricula. In addition the teacher will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary teaching team to support students in an inclusion model. We are looking for an energetic and flexible educator who is interested in contributing to our school culture through activities outside the classroom and working by the Clipper Values (respect kindness innovation perseverance responsibility reflection).Education and ExperienceBachelors Degree requiredMassachusetts DESE Teaching License in ELA (Grades 58)SEI Endorsement preferred Middle School teaching experience preferredKnowledge:Currency in the curriculum including knowledge of the Massachusetts Curriculum planning and assessment of curriculum and classroom instruction in a standardsbased of high standards and expectations for student of equity and appreciation of integration of technology across the of professional :Ability to deliver effective to differentiate instruction to meet student to administer required student testing and to communicate clearly and effectively with students parents colleagues and :Effective classroom management listening speaking reading and writing interpersonal as per contract negotiated between the NTA and the Newburyport School CommitteeEqual Opportunity EmployerNewburyport Public Schools does not discriminate in its programs activities or employment practices based on race color national origin age religion gender gender identity sexual orientation or disability.
