Job Summary
The Director Community Outpatient Services is responsible for overseeing statewide community outpatient programs to ensure operational excellence to improve services standardize best practices quality assurance and financial viability with direct oversight of Minneapolis programs.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential functions include the following:

Provide clinical supervision to licensed alcohol and drug counselors and clinical interns for Minneapolis programs.
Ensure all cooccurring standards are met.
Ensure treatment services provided to individual clients be provided in the individual treatment plan individual and group counseling client education strategies transition services services to address issues related to cooccurring mental illness in compliance with Minnesota Statutes and 245G and 245I requirements.
Ensure all assessments documentation reviews and state reporting are completed and in compliance with Minnesota Statutes and 245G requirements.
Ensure curriculum is developed and provided that assists the client to identify and address problems related to chemical use.
Maintain and update program policy manual and supporting documentation to remain compliant with licensing agencies.
Responsible for licensing regulations addressing any correction orders in a timely manner and being a proactive partner with the licensing and regulatory bodies to anticipate issues and required changes.
Stay up to date with changes in the field and maintain professional knowledge and training to ensure program success.
Participate in a wide variety of cross agency meetings to increase the effectiveness and interaction between departments and programs.
Stay current regarding professional research techniques industry trends etc.
Complete continuing education courses in current treatment concepts and methods as required by the State of Minnesota to maintain Alcohol and Drug Counselor license.
Consult with leaders to identify and implement statewide best practices.
Identify and develop referral resources.
Ensure the fiscal health of the department by supporting marketing efforts and maximizing efficiencies.


Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelors degree required.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in the addiction and/or mental health industry.
At least 3 years of experience providing individual and group counseling to individuals with substance use disorder.
Prior leadership experience preferred.
Licensed in the state of Minnesota as an alcohol and drug counselor (in good standing).
Must be able to obtain 12 hours of training in cooccurring mental health problems within 6 months of hire.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage time.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients staff and leadership.
The ability to live and work by MnTCs culture of honor & core values practicing compassion honor respect integrity servanthood and trust.
At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances.
Must be able to meet specific supervisory requirements outlined in Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy. Reference: MN BHHT Supervisory Requirements
Must be able to meet specific staff requirements outlined in Minnesota Statutes 245G.11. Reference: Sec. 245G.11 MN Statutes

LADC Supervisor Credential Preferred

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.

Target Compensation (Negotiable based on Qualifications):

$85000$97000/year
