Lamoille South Supervisory Union (LSSU) serving the communities of Elmore Morristown and Stowe is accepting applications for Director of Finance. This position is part of the districts administrative team and works closely with the Superintendent and other Central Office administrators. Responsibilities include: Oversight of financial internal controls including financial policies and procedures required by the State and Federal regulatory agencies (primarily the Vermont Agency of Education). Oversight and supervision of accounting team including general accounting transactions payroll and accounts payable processes. Review of monthly quarterly and yearend reconciliations including analysis of financial reports from the districts accounting platform. Budget development for the district. This includes development of budgets for the Supervisory Union and the two member districts including presentation to the district boards for review and approval. Monitor revenues and expenditures in relation to the adopted budgets. Oversight of Federal State and other local grants including internal controls required by Uniform Guidance. Coordinate various State and Federal audits including annual financial statement audits and compliance audits related to grant awards. Timely submission of various required State filings related to the districts financial status including the annual fiscal yearend reporting. Development of bids related to cash flow (Tax Anticipation Notes) construction and maintenance projects and other bids subject to Vermont State bid law. Assist with financial analysis related to collective bargaining agreements. Responsible for annual insurance programs required by the district including annual renewals and yearend reporting. Work in conjunction with the Director of Facilities as needed to facilitate capital projects and significant maintenance projects. Provide assistance and support to capital projects committees regarding long range planning. Work with Director of Food Services regarding budgeting and other financial needs related to the Districts food service operations.
