Job Description
Job Title:GCP Senior Data Modeller / Business Architect
Work Location & Type: London or Edinburgh ( 3 days per week)
Role Description:
Experienced data modeller to help shape migration/reimagining of onprem Applications and Data Models into GCP Data Products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Should be able to drive and ensure that data modelling aspects of solution design meet the business requirements
- Should create conceptual data models and align to Enterprise Data Model
- Should create logical data models and schemas
- Should create physical data models and schemas that support performance and access requirements
- Should define the mappings between physical and logical data models
- Should help the designed Data Models take through the governance process
- Register the GCP Data Products in Collibra
- Knowledge of enterprise data modelling techniques such as denormalised views star schemas etc.
Key Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
- Proficiency in ER Studio
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (including components such as GCS buckets BigQuery Kafka etc.)
- Knowledge in Advanced SQL SSIS packages Python and Unix Shell scripting
- Experience in Agile Methodology
