General Responsibility
The Control Systems Technician holds responsibility for the system and will support the operations and maintenance team with technical knowledge as well as perform preventive checks for ensuring system effectiveness. The Technician will also survey maintain and control all the IT HW/SW and control equipment including HighLevel controls FieldBus Host connections and all network connections.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks
- Perform scheduled & unscheduled maintenance including dismantling repair and rebuilding of equipment
- Readily identify unexpected systems operation issues and implement proper resolution procedures
- Resolve operational issues including but not limited to Dieback Grid lock and fallback procedures
- Clear and reset bag jams; resolve applicable issues quickly and efficiently
- Must adhere to all safety and health requirements
- Serve as a resource and backup for the Control Room Operator
- Clean and maintain surrounding work areas
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :

Education/Training
- 3 years of work experience in the operation and maintenance of BHS or automated material handling systems for the IT and control level
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand all electrical schematic diagrams
- Must be capable of troubleshooting and resolving mechanical electrical and control related issues
- Must have thorough understanding of mechanical electrical and controls test instruments
- Fully conversant with and capable of maintaining all mechanical and electrical components in the BHS/ICS
- Installation inspection assessment maintenance repair and/or refurbish of all parts components and/or assemblies within the BHS/ICS
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds when required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain airport security clearance
- Effective communicator; organized; detailoriented
- Must have a positive and professional attitude and demeanor
Work Environment:
- Fastpaced airport environment with exposure to noise machinery and variable temperatures.
- Shifts include working nights weekends and holidays.
- Frequent walking bending and standing throughout large airport facilities.
Pay rate: $35.77 per hour Fringe rate: $8.93 per hour
Work schedule: Sunday Tuesday 4:00pm 4:00am and Wednesday 4:00pm 10:00pm
