Job Description
You will be creating and leading an agile team that works towards migrations of Risk calculations from legacy stacks and work towards the strategic Risk and P&L stack for Credit business by developing and leveraging components which bring multiple lines of business across Markets to a consistent architecture. You will be driving development of software components for the firms stateoftheart technology products in a secure stable and scalable way.
As a Senior Lead Software Engineerat JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banks Credit Technology team you will lead a technical area and drive impact within teams technologies and projects across departments. Utilize your indepth knowledge of software applications technical processes and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.
Job responsibilities
- Develop risk management systems for both realtime and end of day business needs for Securities Credit Derivatives and Exotics products.
- Develop innovative software solutions to deliver scalable front office facing risk management services.
- Carries governance accountability for coding decisions control obligations and measures of success such as cost of ownership maintainability and portfolio operations
- Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
- Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business product and technology teams
- Designs and develops with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
- Learns and applies system processes methodologies and skills for the development of secure and stable systems.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Expert applied experience in front office technology.
- Strong understanding of Python Fundamental OPPs and functional programming
- Experience developing or leading crossfunctional teams of technologists
- Practical cloud native experience
- Handson practical experience in system design application development and operational stability
- Understanding of Credit or similar financial markets products
- Expertise in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field
- Database Management SQL (PostgreSQL)
- Experience in writing tests object modeling and refactoring
