Job Description

Overview

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced transactional corporate associate with an Energy Natural Resources & Infrastructure (ENRI) focus to be based in either our Bristol or London office. The successful candidate will have strong corporate experience (minimum 5 PQE) including M&A joint ventures and corporate restructurings with a focus on transactions relating to the ENRI sector. Experience of acting for or opposite infrastructure funds and/or corporates coupled with strong client relationship skills with ENRI sector companies is highly desirable. We are looking for a confident selfstarter who is willing to work on a broad mix of asset classes with a proactive approach to drive deals forward.

Our practice covers all asset classes across the ENRI spectrum (mining power (renewables and conventional) oil & gas digital and other infrastructure) with a strong focus on cross border transactions. Our clients include corporates investment funds major development finance institutions governments and commercial banks.

Internationally we have over 100 lawyers working on deals from our network of offices and we have the strength depth and global reach to advise on major transactions no matter what the jurisdiction or location.

You will join our highly acclaimed and collegiate group working with prestigious clients and alongside leading lawyers who are experts in their field.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious experienced corporate associate.

What we are looking for

  • A talented and ambitious lawyer with minimum 5 years post qualified experience gained within an international or national firm;
  • Strong private M&A experience in a broad range of ENRI asset classes;
  • Ability to demonstrate a track record of leading deals and coordinating a wider team of specialists;
  • A desire to make an active contribution to the development of junior lawyers by way of training and knowledge sharing;
  • A proactive and commercial approach along with a one team mentality;
  • Excellent drafting skills and ability to focus on detail; and
  • An intelligent lawyer with a strong academic record along with excellent communication skills.
