About the Team:

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join the Tenancy Sustainment and Support service in supporting clients to sustain their own tenancies. This is an ideal role for someone who has a passion to make a difference and help individuals to remain in their accommodation.

You will be responsible for managing large and varied caseloads of often vulnerable customers who are at risk of losing their homes. You will liaise with various departments to resolve complex housing issues.

As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer you will show understanding of landlords responsibilities and obligations have the ability to prioritise workloads motivate people to engage and work flexibly with a can do attitude coupled with a friendly and teamplayer approach.

About the Role:

To provide advice and support to tenants and landlords participating in the councils private renting schemes and tenants in the private rented sector with the aim of sustaining tenancies.

To develop and maintain a high level of personal contact with tenants landlords and support agencies through casework in order to maximise engagement and minimise rent arrears and breaches of tenancy.

To be proactive in the monitoring of tenancy end dates and initiating renewal negotiations maintaining a sustainment tracer to ensure homelessness is prevented from our private renting schemes and other private tenancies.
