Job Description

SR. INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

SpaceX is seeking a dynamic and driven individual with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a fastpaced high tech environment. Our goal is to protect some of the worlds most advanced technologies including: rockets Dragon capsules for human transport interplanetary transport vehicles the worlds largest satellite communications network etc. As an industry leader we are a target of adversaries both foreign and domestic focused on slowing us down and accessing our proprietary technology. The work we do will safeguard mankind becoming an interplanetary species.

You will be responsible for the research analysis production and dissemination of information relevant to protecting the safety and security of personnel brand global assets and operations at SpaceX. This role is also responsible for supporting certain investigations and research efforts either stemming from intelligence conducted or through other escalation protocols and actioning findings. You will use comprehensive understanding of various collection methods and platforms to explore new data sources build effective queries and combine information from disparate sources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct indepth research evaluation analysis integration and interpretation of information sourced from various open channels
  • Produce highquality intelligence products on a daily weekly and monthly basis including briefings and analytical papers
  • Produce indepth corporate due diligence reports to identify compliance and regulatory risks of current and prospective suppliers
  • Identify emergent risks to the company our technology and people and quickly synthesize information to share with relevant stakeholders
  • Communicate findings effectively and accurately to team members management and relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver briefings and presentations on areas of focus and expertise
  • Navigate various social media platforms and OSINT tools proficiently and adapt quickly to new and emerging platforms and technologies
  • Maintain meticulous organization of ongoing and completed research ensuring accessibility for self and others
  • Facilitate information sharing by fostering relationships and partnering with internal stakeholder groups as well as external local and federal law enforcement
  • Conduct intelligence analysis threat assessment and analysis and investigations on persons and groups of interest to determine whether they pose a threat including interviews and data analysis
  • Manage and safeguard sensitive information including case files and intelligence reports

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree and 4 years of professional experience in intelligence investigative and/or forensic psychology; OR 6 years professional experience in intelligence investigative and/or forensic psychology in lieu of a degree

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and draw actionable insights
  • Experience conducting corporate due diligence and supporting a supply chain risk management (SCRM) program
  • Practical experience employing the Intelligence Cycle and Structured Analytical Techniques
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to produce clear and concise research reports
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment in a fastpaced hightech environment
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media monitoring tools open source intelligence gathering including webbased social medial platforms online search tools applications and communications technology
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Highly collaborative with a great degree of emotional intelligence and maturity

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to travel ad hoc although only minimal travel is expected at this time
  • Subject to preemployment screening including background check and drug/alcohol test as well as random drug and alcohol testing during employment

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:

Sr. Intelligence Analyst: $110000.00 $145000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a casebycase basis and may vary based on the following considerations: jobrelated knowledge and skills education and experience. Those with an active clearance will receive a 10% differential up to an additional $15000 annually once officially briefed into a classified program.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for longterm incentives in the form of company stock stock options or longterm cash awards as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (aka green card holder) (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157 or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158 or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
