In this role as a Network Development Engineer you will design and implement Kuipers enterprise networks supporting manufacturing facilities research labs launch sites and mission operations centers. Responsible for LAN/WAN architecture routing and switching across multiple global locations.

A day in the life Your day begins reviewing network monitoring alerts across manufacturing facilities and mission operations centers. Youll analyze traffic patterns and capacity needs for the factory floor while planning network expansion for new lab spaces. During technical design sessions youll architect network solutions for upcoming launch sites considering redundancy and security requirements. Youll coordinate with vendors on WAN circuit installations troubleshoot routing issues affecting production systems and mentor team members on complex network deployments. Time is split between handson configuration of critical infrastructure and leading design reviews for new network implementations. Youll participate in change management meetings schedule maintenance windows and document network modifications. Throughout the day youll handle escalations from manufacturing teams validate network security controls and ensure high availability across all sites. The role requires balancing immediate operational needs with longterm architecture planning while maintaining network reliability for missioncritical operations.
This is an onsite role that requires employees to work from the companys office 5 days per week. Remote work is not an option for this position. If the employee is located in the office outside of Bellevue WA the role will include up to 25% of business travel
4 years of major internet routing protocols experience 4 years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience 1 years of automation scripting using Python Bash Shell and/or Perl experience
Experience with AWS and AWS networking products such as Direct Connect and Transit Gateway
