About the Job:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Materials Manager to lead our materials management operations in Hauppauge NY. This role will focus on supporting kitting operations inventory management inprocess Kanban systems and overall material flow to ensure seamless production support and operational excellence.
What You Will Do:
Kitting Operations Support:
- Oversee and manage kitting activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of kits to production.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to streamline kitting processes and improve efficiency.
- Inventory Management:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize material availability and reduce excess inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels conduct cycle counts and ensure accurate recordkeeping in the ERP system (Glovia experience preferred).
- Drive initiatives to reduce stockouts eliminate excess inventory and minimize material obsolescence.
- InProcess Kanban Support:
- Manage and maintain inprocess Kanban systems to ensure continuous material flow on the production floor.
- Collaborate with production and materials teams to establish and adjust Kanban signals as needed.
- Material Flow Support:
- Develop and execute material flow strategies to improve material movement efficiency and reduce handling time.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for material staging storage and delivery.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of materials specialists and coordinators.
- Collaborate closely with production supply chain and warehouse teams to align material management activities with business goals.
What You Need:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management Business or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in materials management inventory control or supply chain management.
- Experience with kitting operations Kanban systems and material flow optimization.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Glovia experience preferred).
- Excellent leadership communication and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
- Experience in the electronics or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
This position offers a remote work model.
Our good faith estimates of the salary range for this role is $109684 to $144716. Exact compensation may vary based on skills experience and other factors. In addition to base pay we offer a highly competitive benefits package.
