Position: Manager Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue Sunnyvale CA 94086
Duties: Own workstreams and individual projects endtoend for a business area category or prototype. Manage risk associated with implementation. Coordinate complete and oversee jobrelated activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Work with leadership/business partners (e.g. Directors) to discuss and understand goals/functional objectives and key business challenges to develop hypotheses around current and future business issues; identify functional analytics and research objectives; and develop tactical research plans. Provide guidance to Directors and advise on next steps based on insights objectives and research. Present actionable recommendations to Directors to inform strategic and tactical functional initiatives. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with leadership and other key stakeholders. Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness. Develop data models (algorithms approaches) for workstreams and individual projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborate with project team to implement modeling solutions. Manage the development and implementation of prototypes and productionready complex algorithms for workstreams and individual projects. Manage the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Collaborate with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new data analysis techniques. Address complex business problems by applying advanced analytics to drive datadriven decision making. Make strategic recommendations to team based on data analysis. Manage and execute data analysis strategy providing guidance to less experienced team members. Collaborate with functional leadership and crossfunctional teams (e.g. Categories Customer Experience Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for workstreams and individual projects for a business area category or prototype. Interface with external business partners and vendors. Build and lead a team to execute on business area or category objectives. Coach team members and provide feedback to enhance skills knowledge and work performance. Maintain team motivation and engagement. Mentor less experienced associates. This position does not supervise other employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Masters degree or equivalent in Business Finance Accounting Statistics Analytics or related field; OR Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business Finance Accounting Statistics Analytics or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills required: Experience designing A/B tests and multivariate tests to optimize personalized smart substitution recommendations to customers when items are out of stock. Experience conducting parametric analysis to evaluate experiments. Experience analyzing output from machine learning models that recommend substitute items optimize social badging and influence customer traffic through communication. Experience automating dashboarding solutions using data visualization tool Tableau or Looker. Experience with product analytics in the eCommerce industry. Experience with data automation. Experience with analytic techniques including machine learning predictive modeling logistic regression and cluster and segmentation analysis. Experience with design A/B testing sampling randomization correlation analysis and statistical models. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $113949/year to $202000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
