The ideal candidate will deliver highquality instruction aligned with the Saxon Math curriculum andat the high school levelmay also teach coursework aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. This role is ideal for a teacher passionate about math education direct instruction and student achievement in a highexpectations Responsibilities:Deliver rigorous engaging daily instruction aligned with the Saxon Math curriculum and where applicable the IB five mathematics classes daily providing clear structured lessons that support measurable learning and implement lessons and assessments that align with curriculum goals and promote student and evaluate student progress through regular formative and summative standardized assessments as directed by the Mathematics Department Chair and school regularly with fellow math educators to ensure curricular alignment analyze student data and share effective instructional accurate records of student attendance grades and academic schoolwide behavior expectations through consistent use of MVRCSs assertive discipline actively in faculty meetings school events and ongoing professional development academic support to students beyond classroom hours as other duties as assigned by the Mathematics Department Chair or Assistant :Bachelors degree or higher in Mathematics or a related verbal and written communication to analyze data to inform instruction and improve student classroom management and ability to foster a positive focused learning organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple responsibilities understanding of contentarea standards instructional pedagogy and relevant educational evaluating student work and providing clear datainformed to high academic expectations for all students and a willingness to support their individual to collaborate productively with colleagues students and completion of required MTEL exams within one year of and Evaluation:This position reports directly to the Mathematics Department Chair and is formally evaluated on an annual basis.
