Summer Program:Bartlett School & Assessment Center Grades K12
Dates/Hours:
June 30th August 7th
Monday Thursday
7:45 am 2:15 pm
Subject to change based on student enrollment; start and stop times
Organizational Relationship
or Line of Authority:
Directly responsible to the Summer Coordinator and/or theExecutive Director of Student Support Serviceand/or his/her designee
Statement of Duties:
- Assists daily in the teaching process and works directly with children under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher to provide inclass support.
- Assists in implementing the treatment plans for various students in order to create a successful learning experience.
- Responsible for addressing student behavior and encouraging effort in the classroom.
- Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment setting up classroom areas and preparing materials and supplies.
- Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom.
- Work as a member of a coordinated program team with other teachers and educational support personnel.
- Responsible for other general duties as indicated by the teacher principal supervisors/directors directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.
Qualifications:
- Passing Score on the Para Pro Testorother state approved assessment programorcompletion of 360 Professional Training Pointsor48 credits
- Prefer prior experience with children in a school or similar setting.
- Bilingual Preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
