A Site Engineering Supervisor (Mechanical and Electrical Clerk of Works)to work within the Construction & Programming Team within the Property Serviceat Lancashire County Council.
Are you a Site Engineering Supervisor who has successfully delivered a range of Mechanical and Electrical construction projects to meet client expectations who is an enthusiastic and skilled individual. The successful candidate would have an Electrical bias with a Mechanical working knowledge. You would join our Construction Safety and Quality Team overseeing the delivery of a wide variety of projects working closely with our in house multidisciplinary teams of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers Architects Surveyors Project Managers and Structural Engineers. This role supports the Construction Safety and Quality Manager and CSQs Co Ordinators and works alongside our Site Building Supervisors.
Our Building Group within the Property Service is a multidisciplinary specialised team comprised of Project Management Construction Design Management plus Building the clientwe deliver a comprehensive 50m Capital programme which invests in the county councils property assets including schools libraries museums residential care units and more. We are excited to welcome a Site Engineering Supervisor to our team to assist in delivering multiple construction projects through our partnering contract framework and traditionally awarded contracts via open tendering.
What we are searching for
You will support members of the Design Team by carrying out Mechanical and Electrical Site Engineer Supervisor duties whilst monitoring project quality and safety up to successful completion on site and during the defects liability period.
Youwill carry out a key role in ensuring quality standards and compliance of Mechanical and Electrical building services are delivered to the required specification and drawings for a range of new buildings refurbishments and maintenance schemes. We would expect candidates to have a mechanical or electrical specialism but be willing to oversee projects that encompass both areas and a record of success in delivering compliance with contractual requirements and statutory regulations to completion on site.
You will have a thorough knowledge of current standards and specifications relating to Mechanical and Electrical installations and an excellent understanding of the practical application of health and safety legislation on construction sites.
You will be an exceptional team player and will have excellent communications skills with a customer focused approach to service delivery. You should be able to proactively collaborate with members of the Design Team and across all other disciplines working within clearly established professional guidelines. You will work on a range of projects where you will need to apply judgement and analysis to identify and implement solutions.
