Responsibilities
Northside Hospital is currently seeking a PRN Consult Liaison Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The PRN Consult Liaison Psychiatrist will play a critical role in providing psychiatric consultation services to patients admitted to any of our 5 campuses. This position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess diagnose and treat patients with psychiatric disorders in a hospital setting.
This position is 100% Telemedicine. We are seeking physicians who are interested in being on a regular weeknight/weekend telepsychiatry call a few times per month. Priority given to physicians board certified with a GA license.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric consultations for patients admitted to the hospital for medical or surgical reasons.
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate treatment plans tailored to each patients unique needs.
- Collaborate with medical and surgical teams to provide integrated care for patients with comorbid medical and psychiatric conditions.
- Provide crisis intervention and management for patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms.
- Educate and support hospital staff on psychiatric issues including suicide risk assessment deescalation techniques and psychotropic medications.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds case conferences and treatment planning meetings as needed.

- The payment rate is $89/hour

Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Active GA License or the ability to obtain one.
- Prior experience in Consult Liaison Psychiatry preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate patientcentered care.
