Artificial Intelligence (AI) Coach and Teacher

Sask DLC requires a permanent fulltime Artificial Intelligence Coach (teacher on assignment) for the 202526 school year with teaching position to be determined for the 202627 year and beyond based on current teaching assignment educational background or training and experience. The position will commence on August 25 2025. The campus location will be determined by the principal residence of the successful candidate.

Sask DLC is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation created to deliver highquality and equitable online learning programs to students across the province. Sask DLCs head office is located in Kenaston with an administrative office in Regina and regional campuses located in Estevan Kenaston La Ronge Moose Jaw Neilburg Nipawin Prince Albert Regina Saskatoon Swift Current and Yorkton.

Under the direction of the Superintendent of Student Programming the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Coach is responsible for the leadership finalization and implementation of the Sask DLC AI Policy and the Academic Integrity Policy. This role involves significant collaboration with the AI Committee. This role supports teachers students and staff through professional learning initiatives development of AIsupported Sask DLC operational and educational efficiencies and ensures alignment with the Sask DLC Assessment Grading and Communication Framework Principles. The AI Coach promotes ethical transparent and effective AI integration that upholds academic integrity supports personalized learning and enhances instructional practices across Sask DLC.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead the Implementation of AI and Academic Integrity Policy

• Finalize and operationalize Sask DLCs AI and Academic Integrity Policies.
• Provide coaching and support to ensure adherence to ethical and responsible AI use.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure AI integration aligns with student privacy academic honesty and transparency expectations.
• Document an AI work plan for Sask DLC.

Professional Learning and Capacity Building

• Design and facilitate professional development on AI literacy AI ethics and academic integrity.
• Deliver training on responsible AI use including how to design AIresilient assignments and recognize AI misuse.
• Support teacher professional learning aligned to the Sask DLC Assessment Grading and Communication Framework.

Instructional Innovation and AI Integration

• Develop and promote systemwide efficiencies using AI for lesson planning content generation and student support.
• Provide coaching on classroom applications of AI including application of the adaptive dimension as well as in conjunction with the Student Support team.
• Support the integration of AI tools while ensuring ethical usage.

Promote AI and Academic Integrity Literacy

• Cocreate and implement student & parent/guardian AI literacy resources.
• Support the adoption of AI usage logs student reflection tools and syllabus statements.
• Lead workshops and classroom support for responsible AI use.

Model and Monitor Ethical Practice

• Model responsible AI use data privacy protection and digital citizenship.
• Contribute to the annual review of AI and Academic Integrity policies.

Collaborative Leadership and System Alignment

• Work with Student Programming Team Consultants to support AI use in development and delivery of course content.
• Collaborate with Campus Administration and PLNs and lead professional learning sessions on AI.
• Align initiatives with the Sask DLC Strategic Plan.

Knowledge Skills Abilities

• Deep understanding of AI technologies ethical use in education and emerging EdTech trends.
• Knowledge of academic integrity issues and preventive design strategies for assignments.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as ISTE Standards SAMR and TPACK.
• Strong facilitation coaching and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build capacity in others.
• Experience using platforms such as Moodle Microsoft 365 and AIenhanced instructional tools.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to change.
• Ability to multitask prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Education (.).
• Previous experience supervising and supporting teaching and administrative staff.
• Proven educational leadership and preferably within online curriculum delivery.
• Valid Saskatchewan teaching certificate with SPTRB and membership with STF.
• Masters degree in Education or related field considered an asset.
