Position Overview:
The Traceability Specialist is responsible for supporting the Sr. Manager Traceability in leading the traceability strategy across the entire value chain and continuing to strengthen the current traceability platform (TrusTrace) across the business. The role aims to support establishing effective traceability throughout the supply chain from raw materials to finished goods ensuring global regulatory compliance substantiation of claims product storytelling and promoting responsible sourcing practices including but not limited to social compliance.
What Youll Do:
- Support CGs traceability strategy across entire value chain and proactive internal processes to embed Traceability in key material sourcing decisionmaking
- Oversee sustainability certifications of suppliers including PFM claims and social compliance adherence; engage directly with suppliers on managing the audit cycles certifications and verifications
- Support wholesalers in their sustainability initiatives through data pulls and questionnaires
- Lead the execution and management of Traceability software platform (ie. TrusTrace) and continued software strategy development/growth continuously look for opportunities for improvement
- Maintain project plans and documentation related to traceability track progress and ensure delivery against timelines measure project performance reporting and escalating to management as needed
- Continued collaboration with crossfunctional teams to identify traceability requirements and expectations to ensure smooth transition of data into the platform with the desired outcome and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Provides training and guidance to internal stakeholders and external suppliers on platform utilization and best practices
- Oversees ongoing maintenance of platform working closely with the software partner on necessary upgrades or improvements
- Monitors global trends in supply chain regulations and anticipate risks material traceability and the business
- Stay informed about industry trends best practices and technological advancements related to supply chain traceability and responsible sourcing
Lets Talk About You:
- 3 years of relevant corporate experience in Sustainability or ESG preferably in retail or consulting
- Postsecondary degree in supply chain management sustainability accounting or equivalent experience in a related field
- Previous experience/understanding of supply chain traceability is an asset
- Clear understanding of global social and environmental issues as well as their impacts specifically within the luxury apparel space
- Technical knowledge of global sustainability standards frameworks and best practices
- Proven ability to filter through input and data to find the best solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at the same time and deliver to completion.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights
- Proficiency in utilizing various systems data management tools and reporting software
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively
- Detailoriented with exceptional organizational and project management abilities
- Familiarity with ESG standards responsible sourcing certifications or industry guidelines (e.g. Higg Index GRS RCS GOTs etc.) is advantageous
- Familiarity with Global Trade regulations and standards is advantageous
- Proactive selfmotivated and can work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
