The Elementary School Principal is the instructional and operational leader of the school. This role is responsible for fostering a positive safe and productive learning environment for all students and staff. The principal ensures high academic standards builds strong relationships with families and the community and leads the school in alignment with district goals and policies.
Instructional Leadership:
Lead the development and implementation of highquality curriculum and instruction.
Monitor and evaluate instructional practices to ensure continuous improvement.
Support teachers through coaching professional development and performance evaluation.
Use datadriven decisionmaking to improve student achievement.
School Culture and Student Support:
Promote a safe inclusive and respectful school climate.
Implement systems that support student behavior attendance and socialemotional growth.
Foster a culture of high expectations and equity for all students.
Staff Management:
Recruit hire and retain highquality staff members.
Supervise and evaluate all school personnel.
Promote a collaborative and professional culture among staff.
Operations and Administration:
Oversee daily school operations including schedules budget safety procedures and compliance with regulations.
Ensure the effective use of resources to support student learning and staff needs.
Collaborate with district leadership to align school goals with district priorities.
Family and Community Engagement:
Build strong relationships with families and community partners.
Communicate regularly and effectively with all stakeholders.
Promote family involvement in school programs and initiatives.
Masters degree in Educational Leadership or related field (preferred).
Valid state certification as a school principal or buildinglevel administrator (preferred).
Minimum of 35 years of teaching experience (elementary level preferred).
Previous administrative or leadership experience (preferred).
Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion.
Fastpaced educational setting with frequent interaction with students staff and parents.
May require occasional evening or weekend hours for events or meetings.
