Quality Staffing Inc. also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search a leading fullservice employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the areas top companies is looking for an experienced Licensed Speech and Language Pathologistto work through our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging located in Nashville TN. This is an onsite position working from 8:00 to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 40 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $39.00 per hour.
Speech and Language Pathologist Job Description:
The Department of Disability and Aging is seeking a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist to serve individuals in Middle Tennessee Homes and the Tennessee Strong Family Home. The candidate will be working within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment meeting the communication and mealtime/swallowing needs of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. No insurance billing required; all SLP services are state funded through the Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging.
Speech and Language Pathologist Job Responsibilities will include:
- Provide consultationbased communication and swallowing services to adults with IDD in Middle Tennessee Homes with direct services as needed.
- Provide intensive communication and swallowing services to children currently in DCS custody being served through Tennessee Strong Family Home at Middle Tennessee Homes.
- Complete annual assessments pertaining to swallowing choking risk and communication for each resident.
- Provide recommendations for action steps for individualized support plans.
- Request orders for video fluoroscopic swallow studies and attend swallow studies as indicated.
- Order communication devices/environmental control units as needed.
- Complete monthly and quarterly monitoring to ensure fidelity staff implemented plans.
- Initiate and facilitate staff training to ensure proper implementation of mealtime and communication interventions.
- Provide onboarding training for new staff/nurses.
- Provide consultation for residents at The Harold Jordan Center as needed and provide treatment/discharge recommendations.
Qualifications for Speech and Language Pathologist position:
- MUSTbe a Licensed State of Tennessee Speech and Language Pathologist
- MUSTbe local to the Nashville area
