Indirect Procurement Operations Category Buyer

Your role and responsibilities

The Indirect Procurement Operations Category Buyer will play a key role in overseeing TVHs indirect operations spend which includes all sourcing category management and consumption management across all indirect operations spend categories including but not limited to operations automation real estate & facilities.

He / She is responsible for managing complex sourcing projects through a disciplined category management process in order to put in place the appropriate solutions to support the organization. The role will manage mostly regional spend and be expected to either implement existing or design new (sub)category strategies.

This role is an individual contributor (no direct reports) and reports to the Indirect Procurement Manager. The position is located at our headquarters in Belgium. Consideration may also be given to a hybrid working model.

This role is part of a journey to build out Indirect Procurement at TVH and provides an excellent opportunity to be part of this transformation towards value creation.

• Continuously perform in depth spend and market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities regionally and/or globally to drive incremental value to the business via savings and improved supplier efficiencies.

• Support in the development and execution of multiyear savings plans.

• Drive cost reduction opportunities and activities through savings workshops negotiations RFP alternate sourcing and supplier consolidation.

• Prepare assist in and/or lead negotiation with suppliers.

• Oversee implementation of new suppliers all the way to managing their performance through a structured SRM process.

• Communicate in a professional and effective way with internal and external stakeholders (management and cross functional teams) in order to ensure the necessary buyin and effective change management.

• Develop actionable recommendations based on a clear articulation of options and tradeoffs.

• Help design challenge and implement robust and sustainable sourcing strategies and develop internal/supplier relationships that extract maximum value from the current and potential supplier base.
  

How to succeed / Your profile

• Bachelor/Master Degree (preferably in Business Finance or Engineering).

• Minimum of 35 years of relevant Indirect Procurement experience.

• Relevant experience with diverse indirect spend categories across operations & facilities.

• Comfortable with and experience in reviewing contracts from a commercial perspective.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong analytical and project management skills.

• Ability to work in a matrix and multicultural environment.

• Ability to think strategically.

• Proficient in English other European languages especially Dutch and French are a plus.
