The Opportunity
Join ourMental Health and Wellbeing Team in the delivery of quality services to contribute to the achievement of our objectives and strategic priorities. Support our clients by providing specialist evidencebased support appropriate for people and affected others experiencing gambling harm.
Parttime 0.60FTE fixed term opportunity
This position is classified as a Therapeutic Counsellor (SL5P4) $51.51 per hour under the Community Health Centre (Stand Alone Services) Social and Community Service Employees Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022
You will make a difference by:
Providing a responsive first point of contact and support for the service
Assessment of client needs providing information about the range of support options available and facilitating referrals to internal or external services
Using expertise and skills to competently deliver a range of evidencebased mental health interventions
Providing counselling and support to individuals families and affected others to manage gambling related harm and maintain positive change postcounselling
Promoting collaborative shared care planning and treatment that respects personal goals and consistency of practice
Contributing to quality service improvement leading to improved success for our teams and clients demonstrated ability of intake assessment and referral facilitation
To succeed you will need
Current registration or professional membership within relevant discipline (i.e. AHPRA AMHSW AASW PACFA or ACA)
Qualifications in Psychology Social Work Counselling or other relevant discipline
Current Victorian drivers licence
Minimum twoyear experience in mental health sector including motivational interviewing stages of change cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) trauma informed care and clinical risk assessment
Demonstrated experience and skills in delivering services with a range of complex issues clinical assessment planning and implementation and service interventions
