Summer Camp Instructors at Bouldering Project are dependable caring joyful staff who facilitate bouldering day camps for kids ages 412. Instructors set clear expectations lead engaging games and activities provide fun challenges and use positive reinforcement to foster and safe and inclusive environment for all summer campers. Instructors lead and facilitate climbing instruction games and activities for participants and are expected to follow and uphold all BP rules and policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Facilitate checkin waivers rental shoes facility rules and orientations with youth program participants.
Develop and execute lessons that contribute to and reflect the quality of BPs youth programs.
Facilitate day camps in collaboration with other youth programs staff and under the guidance of the programs manager.
Provide excellent customer service to all families entering the facility by communicating in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide ongoing feedback to youth their families and the programs manager regarding the needs and development of youth programs participants.
REQUIREMENTS
18 years of age
Enjoys working with youth ages 412 years
Weekday availability
Previous camp or customer service experience preferred
First AID/CPR certification preferred
Fingerprint Clearance or SafeSport Certification preferred
FACILITY SAFETY AND INCIDENT RESPONSE
Ensure the safety of participants staff and other customers through group organization oversight and control.
Actively promote risk mitigation through ongoing instruction and orientation.
Respond to accidents and incidents following the BP Safety Manual and Protocol and properly document any incidents through the incident report log.
SCHEDULE AND EXPECTATIONS
Must attend camp instructor training in midMay.
Camp days are MondayFriday over AZ public school summer break and are either 8 am1 pm or 9 am5 pm. Schedule preferences will be considered.
Monday Wednesday availability required
Up to 20 hours per week
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This is a seasonal hourly parttime position. Hourly rate DOE.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Many duties require the availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs and events including possible evenings and weekends.
