The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD as within all of Caterpillar our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts DistributionofCat Parts Integrated Logistics segment Procurementand thedesign andmanufactureof Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals Tubes & Hardware Hose & Couplings Fluids and Filters).
As the Chief Engineer (Wear Components) you will be responsible for providing leadership and coaching to a team of Ground Engaging Tools (GET) engineers covering the Resource Industries (RI) and Constructive Industries (CI) Segment.

What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with business partners (Machine MBDs CISD RISST etc.) to ensure alignment on priorities and clear customer expectations.
- Define and execute NPI plans to meet timeframe budget and all requirements targets.
- Execute CPI projects to ensure quick resolution of product issues and minimize customer pain.
- Constantly increasing capabilities and skills of the GET engineering team to enable world class product design.
- Understand competitive products performance to enable tangible differentiation on Cat GET.
- Include new material and manufacturing processes in design to allow best performance and cost.
- Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from timetotime.
What You Have (Basic Qualifications):
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or Materials Science.
- Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
- Planning: Tactical & Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term) tactical (12 years) and strategic (35 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
- Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
- CrossTeam Integration: Understanding of the importance of interteam collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate coordinate work across divisions and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
- Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen own expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization.
- Team Management: Knowledge of effective team building techniques; ability to form and manage effective teams.
- Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design build and develop a new product technology or service from concept through to production.
What You Have (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in GET engineering product development IP strategy and manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience in leading influencing and motivating a diverse group of people.

Summary Pay Range:
$169320.00 $253920.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjobrelated knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
