Job Summary:
A PYP teacher is responsible for delivering the IB Primary Years Programme curriculum to students fostering inquirybased learning and creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Implement the IB PYP curriculum including units of inquiry transdisciplinary themes and subjectspecific content.
- Plan and deliver engaging studentcentered lessons that promote inquiry critical thinking and problemsolving.
- Assess and evaluate student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessment methods.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments and achievements.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and respectful behavior.
- Collaborate with other PYP teachers and school staff to align curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Stay current with developments in education the IB curriculum and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Familiarity with the IB PYP curriculum and philosophy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
- Classroom management skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and an international perspective.
Work Schedule:
- Mon Tue Thur Fri 7.50am to 4pm
- Wed 7.50am to 4.30pm
