POSITION TITLE:Welding Instructor / Program Coordinator
START DATE:Open until filled.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Welding Program Coordinator is responsible for instruction managing and overseeing the implementation of the Welding program within Ranger College. This role will ensure the smooth operation and effective utilization of machines equipment and technology used for educational purposes. The coordinator will collaborate with other faculty staff and students to ensure that the machining program meets the needs of the school and supports the educational objectives of Ranger College. In addition to these responsibilities the coordinator also serves as the Welding Instructor providing handson instruction and maintaining the quality and safety of the Welding curriculum. Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop implement and manage the overall welding program including policies guidelines and procedures.
2. Monitoring all oncampus and offcampus (including dual credit) locations to ensure the same academic standards are maintained.
3. Provide assistance to the Dean by overseeing their respective educational discipline.
4. Determine program needs and develop strategies for improvement.
5. Increase enrollment in the assigned discipline.
6. Assisting the administration in formulating policy and procedures affecting faculty and instruction.
7. Report any issues and/or concerns within the department and assist the Dean in resolving any problems that may arise.
8. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvements modifications and upgrades to the program.

Knowledge Skills & Ability
Qualifications:
An associates degree in welding or a related field or certifications in related fields of Welding will be considered. Additionally a minimum of one year of experience
Excellent communication collaboration and problemsolving skills.
Ability to provide training and support to users with varying technical abilities.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
PAY RATE:Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials. Group health and life insurance (60 day waiting period for health) and retirement benefits (TRS or ORP). Optional benefits include disability and dental insurance.
