Location: Polegate East Sussex South East
Hours: 16hrs per week plus additional hours in school holidays
Pay: 14.00 per hour

The Role

As a Personal Care Assistant you ll be part of our client s dedicated support team providing essential care in their home. You ll be employed by HomeCareDirect but will focus solely on supporting this client.


This post is for 16hrs a week working on a Thursday and Friday 8am to 4pm. There is a requirement for you to work Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm during school holidays.



Requirements

About the Client & Your Responsibilities

Our client is a young lady who needs social support to attend activities in the community. She enjoys a wide range of interests including animals music art swimming forest school and shopping. We are looking for a friendly and supportive support worker who will accompany her and provide companionship.


You will also assist with personal care when needed including support with getting in and out of the bath and hair washing. Additionally you will help to prepare meals and share mealtimes with our client to promote a warm and engaging atmosphere.


This post requires travelling into the community therefore a driver who has access to their own vehicle is preferred.



Training & Support

We provide comprehensive paid training (to CQC standards) before your start date covering:

  • Full induction
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • First Aid / Food Hygiene / Health & Safety
  • Client specific training to be confirmed

All training must be completed prior to start date and is paid at 14.00 per hour


Who We re Looking For

  • A driver with own vehicle is preferred (you will require Business insurance)
  • You must have an understanding of mental health eating disorders and autism
  • You must be a compassionate reliable and committed individual
  • You must be committed to longterm personcentred care
