Job Objective
The General Manager Holidays will be responsible for the overall strategic planning development and execution of Wakanow s Holidays business. This role involves leading a highperforming team to create market and deliver worldclass holiday packages that drive revenue growth customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. The GM will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify market opportunities enhance customer experiences and ensure operational excellence.
Job Description
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the Holidays business aligned with the overall vision of Wakanow.
- Identify new markets customer segments and partnership opportunities for business expansion.
Product Development & Innovation
- Curate and manage unique competitive and customercentric holiday packages across key destinations.
- Collaborate with destination management companies (DMCs) hotels airlines and tourism boards for optimal deals and experiences.
- Innovate new travel experiences tailored to evolving customer preferences.
Sales & Marketing:
- Drive sales targets for the Holidays business through digital marketing partnerships and offline campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote holiday packages across relevant channels.
- Monitor performance metrics lead conversion and ROI on campaigns.
Operations & Customer Experience:
- Ensure seamless endtoend service delivery from booking to posttravel support.
- Lead and manage the Wakanow Holidays team across operations customer service and fulfillment functions.
- Implement quality assurance processes to guarantee customer satisfaction.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage the budget for the Holidays unit.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability through cost optimization pricing strategies and upselling opportunities.
- Generate periodic performance reports and forecasts for executive leadership.
Team Leadership
- Inspire lead and mentor the Holidays team to achieve KPIs and develop professionally.
- Foster a performancedriven and customerfocused culture.
Requirements
- 10 years in the travel tourism with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record of building and scaling a successful holiday or leisure travel business.
- Strong network within the global travel and tourism ecosystem.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning product innovation and P&L management.
- Excellent leadership negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Datadriven customercentric and highly innovative mindset.
