Manager of Medical Content Development

The Manager of Medical Content Development is an integral leadership role on the Technology and Content team providing leadership and oversight for the clinical and operations team responsible for researching and authoring medical content for all Provation Apex products. This role provides input on product strategy as well as feature and content development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership to clinical content team members

• Operations both tactically and strategically to deliver market leading content and provide clinical input to strategic initiatives projects and innovations

• Uses clinical expertise to research medical concepts and terminology to guide and direct medical content development for Provation products; assist guide and direct internal colleagues as needed.

• Oversee and work closely with content operations to prioritize and build clinical terminology using proprietary content development tools and databases.

• Use clinical expertise and product knowledge to investigate classify and prioritize customer suggestions.

• Participate in all aspects of the product development lifecycle working closely with leadership customers engineering product and customer service teams to drive clinical perspective.

• Provide clinical input to product management and engineering teams to validate clinical workflows and clinician user experience for functionality and features.

• Problem solving to help improve customers documentation efficiency capture of structured data and the readability of medically accurate procedure notes for the clinical record and to support the continuity of patient care.

• Compile and report on contentrelated metrics to leadership.

• Research and ability to stay ahead of changes in medicine to ensure Provation products stay on the leading edge and clinically relevant to customers.

• Deliver on medical content priorities on time with quality.

• Meet with Provation users in person and via video conferencing to provide instruction and to receive feedback.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

• Associate Bachelors or Advanced degree in Nursing (RN BSN NP)

• Minimum Experience: 7 years clinical experience (post clinical training) working in the US healthcare system (or equivalent)

• 2 years clinical experience in Endoscopy; pre post and intra procedure

• Minimum Experience: 3 years experience managing a team of clinicians in patient care setting or healthcare IT setting

• Experience with or knowledge of procedures and clinical documentation workflow

• Experience with health care regulatory compliance and audits (CMS Joint Commission AAAHC)

Other Knowledge Skills Abilities or Certifications:

• Experience with healthcare EHR systems
• Demonstrated experience with understanding complex software applications and business domains
• Experience working with data medical content development and computer programming or equivalent; work experience may also include technical troubleshooting (on medical content database and/or programming)
• Experience with tracking/reporting of procedurerelated data and quality registry data collection
• Experience with medical vocabularies coding and/or mapping
• Understanding of standardized clinical terminologies e.g. SNOMEDCT ICD9/10 LOINC RxNorm etc.
• Strong project management research planning and time management skills
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines and deliver high quality materials
