Job Summary
Ekedal Concrete a highly successful Concrete Contractor for over 40 years is growing and has an immediate need to add a Concrete Superintendent to their team. This is an attractive opportunity to join an awardwinning contractor.
Essential Job Functions:
The handson Superintendent directs the activities of workers engaged in construction and maintenance. Responsible for managing the companys policies and expectations for safety quality and productivity. Studies contract requirements and scope of work to establish execution plan for construction maintenance on basis of starting and completion times staffing requirements for each phase of projects based on knowledge of available engineering drawings materials equipment manhour budgets and schedule durations. We are looking for a Superintendent to work on large residential (typically) projects in Orange County.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a plan for sequence of work. Develop project schedule. Plan and organize project layout to assure all work is in place in accordance with contract documents
- Supervise field work force to assure all work is put in place in the most costefficient manner
- Orders procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules
- Inspects supervises and participates in all work in progress at all levels to ensure that work conforms to specifications and that production schedules are adhered to
- Establishes and oversees the means methods and schedule for performance of the scope of work
- Ensures a safe work environment for all employees. Adhere to strict safety standards and procedures
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience as a handson Project Superintendent in Concrete construction
- Must have expertise and working experience with architectural concrete
- Must possess a broad understanding of all aspects of construction including onsite inspection verification of conformance with Contract Documents scheduling project budget/costs progress reporting and project closeout
- Must possess strong leadership ability to supervise team members subcontractors and provide administrative backup to achieve our clients total satisfaction
- Must interface with our client and make sure any problems that arise are resolved quickly

Job Type: Fulltime
Salary: $30.00 $50.00 per hour
