Job Description

WHERE YOU WILL WORK
ClosetMaid located in Ocala FL is our600000 sq. ft. manufacturing distribution and office facility.

2nd Shift (2:30 pm 11:00 pm) ; Monday to Friday overtime when needed.

Job Summary

  • Selfstarter requiring minimal supervision. Must have ability to make logical decisions as it relates to the maintenance of the equipment or utilization of the crew. Position may require occasional coverage on all shifts. Operator employees are routinely scheduled to perform work on weekends on a no overtime basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains communication flow with supervisor employee and team leaders on changes concerns or feedback to the departments operation and process.
  • Accurately uses quality gauges to monitor the production process and log information.
  • Maintains process controls in accordance with established quality standards relating to coating thickness chemical concentrations coating appearance etc.
  • Drives forklift tugger and pallet jack as required (with certifications).
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Becomes skilled at identifying product names codes labels ID numbers and associated components.
  • Required to occasionally work within a confined space for a short period of time for equipment maintenance.
  • Required to startup shut down maintain and troubleshoot the vinyl coater equipment for their assigned department.
  • Follows designated work and safety procedures when working with chemicals.
  • Serves as technical contact for workers within the area.
  • Maintains good housekeeping standards.
  • Maintains integrity and overall appearance of all operational equipment.
  • Maintains appropriate control of tools and parts.
  • Assists maintenance as required during repairs and PMs.
  • Performs direct labor functions as required.
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment & maintain regular attendance.
  • Must be able to work overtime as business need dictates

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Coordinate crew as required. Assists in planning assigning and directing work in coordination with the supervisor and team leader.

Quality Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude and open to working in a communicative team environment.
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret manual and computer based data into production requirements
  • Works in a collaborative environment leading and supporting other peers in various tasks as needed

Preferred:

  • High School or GED
  • Previous manufacturing experience
