Reporting to the Regional Manager of Quality LongTerm Care and Assisted Living the Quality Resource Coordinator is a contributing member of the Departments Quality Resource Team and will participate in processes that determine both Departmental operations and strategic objectives. To facilitate operationalizing the LongTerm Care Quality Framework the Coordinator may provide coaching and mentoring to LongTerm Care home staff on key quality improvement initiatives (e.g. falls prevention wound care dementia care).
The position is geographically nimble and will work throughout the region and potentially across the Health Authority. Travel is a requirement of the position. Transportation arrangements must meet Island Healths operational requirements in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.
Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Three (3) years recent related experience in LongTerm Care including one (1) years experience in a supervisory or leadership role or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Knowledge and experience with quality improvement LongTerm Care and/or infection prevention and control preferred. Relevant certification also preferred such as Gerontology Nursing Certificate (GNC) or equivalent Quality Improvement or Change Management certificate. Valid B.C. Drivers License and access to a personal vehicle for businessrelated purposes.
