The Joint Office of the Secretary of Defense Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense Federal Civilian and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
SPAs NATO Allied Command Transformation Group within JOID provides capability development portfolio management program management quality management cost estimation analysis standardization reporting software solutions and information management and capability management support. We also provide an improved capability requirements capture process including the generation documentation and tracing of user requirements with appropriate technical scrutiny over the entire lifecycle of the requirements from capability definition through capability realization and capability usage.
We have a nearterm need for a Information Environment Assessment Officer to provide onsite support out of HQ SACT in Norfolk VA.
The candidate will work collaboratively with NATO Stakeholders to support the Communications Branch in ACT. Identify specific narratives and their role in the IE specifically about NATO activities and issues of concern; to include audiences that are of interest to NATO. Identify key media stakeholders (operators owners financers) and their perception of NATO and its activities. Assess and report on the effectiveness of HQ SACT and its subordinate communications. Assess and report on the effectiveness of NATO adversary and competitor information efforts particularly disinformation or propaganda campaigns on NATO audiences operations and activities. Use historical data points to gauge the success of previous hostile Information Activities; identify Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and forecast their potential use in future hostile communications; and provide realtime data insights to allow NATO communicators the ability to capitalize on NATOs own communications and mitigate the impact of hostile communications in the IE. Prepare Strategic Commandlevel briefs on designated aspects of the Information Environment when required. Provide support to NATOs comprehensive approach to crisis management operations. Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Communication/STRATCOM adviser and undertake additional duties and assume other responsibilities as directed by the Chain of Command.
