Job Description

Job Title: Information Security Project Manager.

Location: Atlanta GA (Remote)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience leading projects with an information security or compliance focus within the last 3 years.
  • Solid understanding of information security principles and standards such as NIST 800-53 and IRS Publication 1075.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent specialized training plus 3 years of IT project management experience.
  • PMP certification from PMI or equivalent.
  • Expert-level proficiency with MS Project MS Visio SharePoint 2013 and MS O365.
  • Experience within the last 3 years coordinating or managing vendor-led audit projects.
  • Strong executive-level written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in a related field or specialized security certifications (e.g. CISSP CISA).
  • Experience working in state government environments.
  • Familiarity with Health and Human Services Systems eligibility systems and business processes.
  • Experience working in outsourced or multi-vendor environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide project management consultation to the DHS security team.
  • Collaborate with project managers vendors BAs architects developers and SMEs across the agency.
  • Plan and track audit and compliance project schedules monitor milestones and assess deliverables.
  • Assist in the initiation and planning of audit projects including development of risk assessments scope definitions and communication strategies.
  • Create and manage project documentation such as performance tracking change control and issue/risk logs.
  • Monitor and report on compliance project performance flagging risks and schedule variances.
  • Conduct project close-out activities including client validation and lessons learned sessions.
  • Promote and support the Project Management Office (PMO) standards tools and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and work direction to assigned audit project teams ensuring quality delivery.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with executive stakeholders vendors and clients.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to processes structures or resource management across audit initiatives.
