Reports to (Title): Facility Maintenance Manager or Warehouse Manager
Essential Function This position performs maintenance and repair on all aspect of the facility including but not limited to conveyors forklifts industrial batteries building electrical up to 480VAC plumbing basic carpentry and general building maintenance. Also assists the Maintenance Manager and coordinates production to resolve equipment issues p.m. scheduling making equipment improvements as necessary.
Primary Duties:
- Provide clear concise statements using action verbs to describe what is done with or for whom the action is taken and the purpose or outcome to be achieved. Responsibilities should be listed in order of percentage of time spent performing the actual duty.
- Performs preventative maintenance & repair on all facility equipment such as conveyors forklifts industrial batteries carton sealers dock levelers and dock doors shrink wrap machines printers HVAC equipment hydraulic Pneumatic building plumbing & electrical etc. in an efficient and proper manner.
- Handles daily routine of changing watering and charging of facility forklift batteries and daily cardboard baler maintenancetie takeout and cleanup.
- Performs daily weekly monthly and yearly routine inspection on all facility safety and fire suppression system such as fire pump fire sprinkler system alarm monitoring system fire extinguishers eyewash stations racking fall protection equipment equipment checklist etc. in an efficient and proper manner. Troubleshoots to diagnose source of failure.
- Assists the Maintenance Manager with repairs preventative maintenance scheduling parts inventory and purchases and projects as required.
- Maintains a safe work environment perform job functions safely and reports any potential job hazards to management. Maintains good housekeeping practices in assigned areas.
- Performs all other duties as requested by management.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Indicate the minimum qualifications required to perform the job: work experience (including type of work and number of years required); education (including desired degree and field of study); specify certificate or license requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus technical trade school preferred
- Minimum 5 years maintenance mechanic experience required
- Mechanically inclined skills with intermediate electronic/electrical knowledge of hand and power tools and general building maintenance in the areas of plumbing painting and carpentry
- Computer knowledge and warehouse management systems knowledge preferred
Competencies/Attributes: Indicate relative qualitative or other important aspects that would enhance the ability to perform the job. i.e. detail oriented customer focused team player etc.

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements: Indicate the normal working environment i.e. office store warehouse etc. as well as any physical requirements required to perform the job duties (lifting requirement dexterity etc).
- The work environment involves high risks with exposure to potentially dangerous situations or unusual environmental stress which require a range of safety and other precautions.
- The position requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending crouching stooping stretching reaching or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The work may require specific but common physical characteristics and abilities such as aboveaverage agility and dexterity.
- The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing of tall ladders; lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds crouching or crawling or strenuous physical exertion.
