Job Description

Job Title: Munitions Consultant / Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Location: Fairfax VA (with potential travel to domestic and overseas locations)

Clearance Required: Secret


Position Overview:

Plateau GRP is seeking a highly qualified Munitions Consultant / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide expertlevel support and guidance in munitions management processes in support of Army and Marine Corps mission requirements. The ideal candidate brings at least 15 years of specialized experience in ammunition supply munitions forecasting and Class V management with a strong foundation in military munitions systems regulations and training doctrine.

This SME will play a critical role in analyzing advising and implementing advanced munitions planning forecasting and authorization management practices in alignment with Army and Marine Corps standards including STRAC and Marine Corps munitions requirements processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide authoritative subject matter expertise on Army and Marine Corps munitions supply procedures regulations and training requirements.
  • Advise and support strategic and tactical Class V forecasting authorization management and combat training ammunition requirements.
  • Apply deep analytical skills to resolve complex and sensitive munitions management issues across unit installation and higher command levels.
  • Interpret and implement STRAC guidance and Marine Corps munitions requirements generation methodologies.
  • Serve as a key contributor to planning documents data analysis reports and system requirements tied to munitions forecasting and usage.
  • Support integration and alignment of munitions data with systems such as TAMIS WebAmmo and other DoD ammunition systems.
  • Travel as required to support missions including potential deployments to hostile or contingency areas where U.S. Forces are operating.
  • Adhere to all military installation access protocols and contractor personnel standards.


Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology Business Administration or a managementrelated field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of specialized technical or functional experience in Army or Marine Corps munitions operations.
  • Prior experience as an Ammunition Manager Ordnance Corps Warrant Officer or equivalent military/contractor role demonstrating munitions SME knowledge.
  • Extensive knowledge of:
  • Army and Marine Corps munitions regulations
  • Munitions authorization forecasting and resourcing
  • Class V training and combat requirements
  • Direct experience or deep knowledge of:
  • STRAC processes
  • Marine Corps munitions requirements generation
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior military leaders and support personnel.
  • No substitutions for educationdegree is mandatory in addition to required experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with munitions systems such as TAMIS WebAmmo SAASMOD or GCSSA/GCSSMC.
  • Experience supporting operational environments in deployed or contingency locations.
