About the Role
Ngala is currently seeking an experienced and passionate People & Culture Business Partner to join the team.
Working within a small team which includes P&C L&D and Payroll specialist functions you will be a trusted advisor and strategic partner in delivering contemporary people practices that support employee experience compliance and business goals. This role will work closely with leaders and employees across Ngala to enable highperforming valuesaligned teams. Our workforce covers three different industries early learning healthcare and community services making it a unique organisation in which to practice HR.
Responsibilities at a glance
- Strategic support by partnering with business leaders to understand workforce needs and translate them into actionable HR initiatives.
- Provide expert advice and coaching on people matters including employee relations performance and workforce planning.
- Support organisational change processes with a focus on clear communication and people impact.
- Proactively manage employee lifecycle activities (onboarding probation performance exit).
- Lead the resolution of complex employee relations issues ensuring compliance with relevant legislation awards and Ngala values.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies procedures and practices.
- Champion Ngalas values.
- Collaborate on initiatives such as engagement learning and leadership development.
- Identify and address capability gaps through coaching support and development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate HR data and reporting through systems and processes.
You will have:
- Qualification in Human Resources or other related field (highly desired).
- Previous experience in a similar role working with a proven record of strong and effective partnerships with leaders.
- Sound knowledge of employment law awards and HR policy application
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across all levels
- High emotional intelligence discretion and commitment to ethics
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently as needed.
- Experience in supporting multidisciplinary teams and influencing skills across all levels.
The successful candidate must possess a satisfactory National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months.
