Job Description

Position: Senior HR Executive/ HR Business Partner Research Facility

Reporting to: Head of Operations

Location: Vashi Navi Mumbai

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and adaptable HR professional to support our researchdriven organization. The ideal candidate will have 5years of progressive HR experience preferably within academic scientific or researchfocused institutions. You will be a key liaison between leadership and staff helping to attract retain and support a highly specialized multidisciplinary workforce while ensuring alignment with the facilitys mission and compliance requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources Psychology or a related field; Masters in HR or relevant specialization is preferred.
  • 57 years of HR experience with at least 2 years in research academic or scientific environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of employment law institutional compliance and research staff lifecycle management.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work crossfunctionally with scientists administrators and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with grantfunded employment and research project staffing is an advantage.
  • Discretion adaptability and a solutionoriented mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with scientific and administrative leaders to understand staffing needs and implement effective talent acquisition strategies especially for niche research and technical roles.
  • Oversee recruitment onboarding and orientation processes tailored to researchers fellows and support staff.
  • Manage performance management processes that reflect the unique goals and timelines of research work.
  • Foster a collaborative inclusive and intellectually stimulating workplace culture.
  • Support employee engagement through recognition programs training opportunities and regular feedback mechanisms.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with applicable labor laws grant requirements and institutional guidelines.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on sensitive personnel matters including contracts grievances and conflict resolution.
  • Partner with finance and grant administration to ensure accurate staffing plans and budget alignment for research projects.
