Job Description
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: 12.21 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Greet and serve customers with a warm friendly demeanor
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages including coffee and tea
- Assist in the preparation of light snacks and meals as needed
- Operate the cash register and process various forms of payment
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the cafe area
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels
- Assist with setting up and breaking down outdoor seating areas
- Provide information about the Parade Garden and its attractions to visitors
- Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer service
- Adapt to changing weather conditions and seasonal fluctuations in visitor numbers
Qualifications :
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Basic food handling and preparation abilities
- Proficiency in cash handling and operating POS systems
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices in a food service environment
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Good communication skills in English
- Flexibility to work weekends holidays and occasional evening shifts
- Previous experience in a cafe restaurant or food service setting (preferred)
- Food safety certification (preferred)
- Passion for gardens local history or tourism is a plus
