Job Description

Overview of the role:

An exciting opportunity to bring the vision of the Manufacturing Diagnostics Product Field into reality and to lead the Manufacturing Diagnostics business into the future.

As Product Manager you will be responsible to define deploy and communicate the product vision and strategy for software and hardware products in the fastpaced vehicle manufacturing environment.

You will drive the product roadmap with a sound understanding of market needs and Product Field capabilities and with a customeroriented view you will specify products and features.

You will be responsible to deliver economical and business data needed for overall product management and manage the product life cycle of assigned products.

Responsibilities

  • Achievement of product related business targets
  • Ensures that the product business runs (support of e.g. sales quality supply chain product liability SAS FAE)
  • Supports definition deployment and communication of product vision and strategy and derivation of roadmap (aligned with Solution Field vision/roadmap)
  • Definition of product content and prioritization of the program backlog e.g.
    • definition of customer and product requirements (epics features)
    • requirements validation at customer as well as eliciting and incorporating feedback
    • prioritization of services and product maintenance (if PFrelevant)
    • ensure product quality
  • Supports definition and approval of project and product content
  • Supports Product Field stakeholder management e.g.
    • customer and regional interface for assigned products product / solution representative at customer (via sales)
    • Coordination with other products and solutions (if no solution is available)
    • others (e.g. universities competitors..)
  • Supports definition of business models for PFrelated products (e.g. license model upfront financing nonrecurring engineering costs)
  • Supports definition and getting approval for budget of product class
  • Manages product life cycle of assigned products (e.g. marketing rampup promotion phase out)

Education:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science and Technology or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5year experience within the automotive industry and technology.

Travel required: Travel to customer sites within the UK and abroad is required.

Qualifications :

  • Advanced domain & business knowledge Manufacturing and Vehicle Diagnostics
  • Excellent networking presentation and communication skills (both written and spoken).
  • Strong business background customer focus and experience working in a businesstobusiness context.
  • Proven experience in interdisciplinary team work and international cooperation.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Customer and resultoriented
  • Strong expertise in product market and business value

  • Advanced knowhow on agile method technical and product management expertise
  • Strong expertise of business management (marketing sales controlling costbenefit calculation)
