Position Summary
Career Readiness Objectives : Communication The student worker will effectively and professionally communicate with faculty and students to ensure accurate exchange of knowledge Critical Thinking The student worker will learn to assess evidence of learning in the classroom and adjust his/her interactions with students to improve learning Leadership The student worker will demonstrate leadership through scheduling and running open lab sessions consistently and independently This individual will be assisting the Doctor of Physical Therapy Ruskin Program faculty and the Ruskin Campus. Duties may include but are not limited to: Teaching assistant in Dr. of Physical Therapy courses Conduct open lab sessions Classroom/lab set up or break down Special projects associated with Gannon University. The student in this position may be asked to assist with other projects and potentially other programs as needed. As a student representative of Gannon University and the Physical Therapy Ruskin program and as an employee of Gannon University the utmost professionalism is expected
Physical Demands
1) Should be able to bend lift push and pull as needed to set up/tear down lab equipment. 2) May be asked to lift up to 50 pounds. 3) May be asked to walk campus multiple times a day.
Required Qualifications
Entering the second year or enrolled as a second year student in the DPT program in Ruskin FL; Cumulative GPA through prior spring semester of 3.5 or higher with an A or better in GGDPT 800 and an A or better in GGDPT 817; Excellent communications skills; Highly organized; Good attention to detail; Demonstrated mastery and confidence in the knowledge and skills gain in both GGDPT 800 and GGDPT 817; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); Selfstarter.
