Position Summary Reporting to the CFO the Controller will be a crucial member of Senior Management responsible for overseeing many aspects of the companys financial management including timely and accurate financial reporting monitoring of all financial activities proactively working with all departments to understand financial results and providing strategic financial guidance to Executive Management. This role is critical in providing financial insights and ensuring the companys fiscal health. Key Responsibilities - Financial Operations:
- Financial statement preparation and related analysis including monthly closing and financial estimates.
- Manage accounting operations and related staff.
- Monitor and maintain the accounting system and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with external auditors and manage annual audits.
- Manage local state and federal government reporting and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Research technical accounting issues.
- Develop and implement sound financial policies and procedures.
- Manage daily cash positions payment processes and cash forecasts.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership guidance training mentorship and accountability to the domestic and international accounting teams to ensure the teams growth productivity and success.
- Client and Vendor Communication: Maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency mitigate risk and reduce errors.
- Compliance: Stay up to date with industry regulations and compliance requirements related to Financial Operations and ensure the companys adherence to these standards.
- Other: Other responsibilities and duties as needed.
Qualifications - A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting with at least 3 years as a Controller or in a similar role.
- Masters degree in accounting Finance Business Administration a related field or additional commensurate professional experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or additional suitable experience or similar licensing
- Strong knowledge of accounting management and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Experience in a servicebased business model.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Acumatica Oracle SAP or similar not Quickbooks).
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced growth environment.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
