About the Department:
The Deans Office oversees all educational research development and administrative activities within the College of Engineering and Computing. The Deans Office provides direction and structure and works with the associate and assistant deans department chairs and center directors. The office also works closely with other university departments and offices to include the Offices of the President and Provost.

The Director Operations and Facilities Projects leads the colleges activities related to facilities (office space instructional labs research labs and classrooms) and related operations across all campuses and remote sites. Serves as the focal point between the CEC Dean central administration principal investigators department chairs and research center directors for facilities matters. Represents the CEC for all issues related to the colleges facilities and operational activities. Advocates for the colleges facilities and operationsrelated interests with the larger university planning groups and external stakeholders. Serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers regarding space assignment utilization tracking and facilityrelated operations for the college.
Responsibilities:
CEC Space Allocation Planning and Reporting
Develops leads and implements strategies to increase the overall utilization and efficient distribution of CEC space to include offices and administrative areas college managed classrooms and labs research facilities and student areas.
CEC Facilities Project Oversight and Management
Serves as the Facilities Project Leader for the college on numerous complex projects including new university buildings new college facilities and instructional and research renovations. Supports projects related to new equipment installations and associated facilities impacts.
CEC Building Operations Management
Provides management and oversight for building operations for any facilities assigned to the college across all Mason Campuses.

The College of Engineering and Computing (CEC) at George Mason University is a fastgrowing force for innovation in research and education.
